Our offices are modern and in a fabulous location in the heart of the City, they are also entirely open plan and the Directors of the business sit with the teams on the main floor; the management team has over 70 years' experience within recruitment and is always available to help, be it supporting day to day recruitment activity or even just through listening and giving you some ideas. We do not run the business from an ivory tower.
The company is internally structured into four major divisions (Buy Side, Sell Side, Insurance and Digital & Media) with a separate function focused exclusively on Cloud Computing and an International team with capability across all markets.

For experienced Consultants we offer a mature environment that through the use of company wide business plans gives you the guidance, structure and tools to achieve outstanding revenue numbers. Our teams are solely focused on industry sectors and clients, allowing you the opportunity to transact both contract and permanent fees at your clients and benefit from commission schemes and incentives for both. Commissions are highly competitive, uncapped, and with no monthly thresholds. We also understand that quality business can take time to develop and we aim to support you throughout your career with us, including the early days, rather than just demanding immediate results.
We also provide support from dedicated Researchers on the desks, the ability to work closely with Managers in shaping the team and company plans, fantastic back office and finance support, state of the art Cloud based CRM and IT facilities, remote access and a continual training plan designed to help you become a genuine subject matter expert in your field as well as in all relevant recruitment laws, regulations and processes.
Over the last decade, we have put together and fine tuned an excellent training programme aimed at introducing new recruits to the world of recruitment, getting you up to speed as quickly as possible and then giving you the platform to develop into a Consultant in your own right. This includes a comprehensive induction and training programme coupled with the opportunity to work directly with Senior Consultants and Managers on the desk every day and the chance to learn in a real world environment. We aim to give you a base of knowledge across internal and external recruitment process, business, technical and functional roles, an understanding of our markets and the ability to then specialise within a particular division.
From early in your career you will be given responsibility and the chance to own parts of the process, to meet with both candidate and clients. At the same time, we are also looking to ensure that when you are promoted to Consultant that you are genuinely ready and have in place the prerequisite skills to succeed. With Cornwallis Elt, it may take you slightly longer to make Consultant, but we believe that when you do, you will be far better equipped and prepared make a success of it.
In addition to the above, we also try and have fun and enjoy our working lives!
