Our client is a Tier 1 European Investment Bank. We are looking to recruit a Development Team lead with a Java background to work within their Asia Pac Equities Team in Hong Kong.

Our client is in the process of replacing and implementing a strategic project to replace their existing trading framework with a new system designed to handle the ongoing growth of the business.

This is a challenging role where your design and development skills will provide direct exposure to the business practices within the Asia Pac region.

The successful Java Team Lead will play an integral part of the upgrade of their new trading platform to lead, design and develop the business automation functions of the systems. You will be working with various business stakeholders to define the project scope and direction along with providing technical training and support for your development, testing and support team.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Ideally 3 years + working in the cash Equities Execution business
  • + 5 years experience developing in Java, ideally with a background in developing Real Time, high performance systems
  • Strong knowledge of Java language fundamentals and the JVM garbage collection methodologies
  • Experience in both a Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to use a range of Software Development tools including Java IDEs, JUnit and Source Control Management
