SQL Server .NET Developer - Investment/Finance firm - City

Our client is a leading Investment firm in the City. On their behalf we are recruiting a contract database developer with SQL Server, Sybase, .NET skills.

We are looking for:

• Advanced understanding and experience of T-SQL within an SQL Server 2000 and Sybase environment
• SQL Server and Sybase database development: writing, modifying, optimizing and debugging stored procedures, triggers and other T-SQL code.
• Database Design: Designing and implementing database tables using referential integrity (clustered and non clustered indexes, Primary and Foreign keys).
• Optimization and Performance Tuning: tuning stored procedures, tables (clustered and non clustered indexes, Primary key, Foreign keys).
• Creating SQL Server DTS packages.
• Experience of design, build, test of Excel, Access VB, and .NET applications.
• Experience and willingness to help with support
• Source control Clearcase and releasing code
• Documentation writing Technical specifications.
• Full Software Life Cycle Development, System Test, UAT and Production.
• Co-ordination of test environments on MS-SQL Server and Sybase platforms.

Front Office Financial Markets knowledge is sought particularly Equities and Fixed Income trade processes. Unix Scripting and Business Objects development are preferred but not essential skills.
