Technology Operations Analyst - Applications Support, Programming, Fund Management, City of London

Our client, a Fund Management organisation based in the City of London is looking for a Technology Operations analyst to support a variety of vendor and in-house applications. The role will involve troubleshooting operational problems in a busy trading environment, act as administrator for various software systems such as Middleware and Portfolio Accounting systems as well as being responsible for co-ordinating patches, fixes and upgrades. Ad hoc duties will involve testing business continuity plans and looking at increasing operational efficiency.

We are looking for candidates with a degree in a related Computer Science subject who have programming experience in Java, Excel/VBA or a Scripting language. In addition, candidates must have experience with databases and SQL.

We will consider candidates outside of the financial services arena if they have an outstanding educational background and have previously worked for a blue chip organisation, however, we have a strong preference for anyone who has financial services experience and in particular Fund Management. Any experience with trading or Back Office functions in an FX environment will be of particular interest. This is an excellent opportunity for a second jobber to join a leading financial services organisation.
