Core Java (J2SE) developer required by leading Investment Bank in the City.

The Core Java (J2SE) developer will be working on a semi-greenfield program to improve current capabilities, building a strategic platform that can be extended to cope with new lines of business and growth in volumes.

The Core Java (J2SE) developer will be involved in re-architecting and re-engineering existing and disjoint platforms, in house and 3rd party, to realise a single system. The program will be run in an agile development process with emphasis on short iterative releases.

The Core Java (J2SE) developer will have the following:

• Core Java (J2SE) or strong C++ with a desire to move to Java
• Experience of agile development practices
• Experience in a Real Time, preferably Front Office financial or telcos, environment

Experience in a selection of the following would be preferred:

• FIX
• Order management experience
• PT experience
• Market data
• Low Latency Solutions
