Data Analyst - BI / SQL / Product / Cloud – 6 Month Contract - £425 p/d Inside IR35 - London
A global Media business are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience in supporting Product and Marketing teams, and a passion for turning data into valuable insights which can be used to drive data driven decision making to improve the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyse user behaviour, product features, and marketing campaign performance to generate actionable insights that drive business impact.
- Product Optimization & A/B Testing: Support the Product and Marketing teams with data-driven analysis, particularly focused on A/B testing and other digital product optimization techniques.
- Digital Analytics: Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mix Panel, and others to track and analyse web traffic and digital product usage.
- Business Intelligence: Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools like Power BI and Tableau to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
- Cloud Data Management: Work with large data sets in cloud data warehouses (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) to support data analysis and reporting needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Marketing Managers, and many other stakeholders to provide data support and insights.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Developer, with a strong focus on supporting Product and Marketing teams.
- Experience in digital product optimization, A/B testing, and web analytics tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and insight generation with measurable business impact.
- Familiarity with agile project management principles and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- SQL proficiency at an intermediate level for data querying and manipulation.
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and statistical modelling.
- Understanding of basic statistics principles including regression, hypothesis testing, and distribution models.
- Experience working with large datasets in cloud data warehouse platforms such as AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Proficiency with digital analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mix Panel, Amplitude, Matomo, or Piwik Pro.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
