Data Analyst - Operations – Fund Management - Excel - VBA - Python

We are seeking a multi-skilled Data Analyst (permanent) for one of our “boutique” fund management clients, based in the City, to build-out their data management capability.

The role will initially involve data sourcing and data cleansing, but responsibilities will evolve to include process improvement through automation, and data analysis through development of dashboards and other tools.

The client is looking for someone from an Ops background with a deeply enquiring mind and a passion to improve processes across the business and to learn; also, a thorough grasp of detail and appetite to engage at this level.

You will understand the end-to-end business process across asset classes and will also be an expert in Excel and VBA, ideally with some exposure to SQL / SQL Server and Python. 

You will be in investment management, wealth management, or a hedge fund; probably a mid-sized or smaller firm. The client has relatively recently implemented a leading OMS, a Portfolio Accounting platform, and a Data Warehouse, and are well placed to be successful in data management.

The firm is growing organically, and this is an excellent opportunity for the successful individual to grow with the firm into a strategic data management role.
