Our client, an Asset Management firm, are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join their central Data Governance team on a permanent basis. Ideally Surrey based they will, however, consider applicants to work in their City of London office. The successful candidate will be working on a variety of key strategic initiatives including the build out of an overarching Data governance framework, implementation of a data catalogue and the design/creation of various status and compliance reporting dashboards. The role will also involve requirements gathering and Data Lineage discovery as well as being an active member in the protection of data integrity.
Successful candidates will have a strong buy-side background having worked with a wide variety of data from operations through to investments. They will be comfortable utilising Microsoft Technologies such as SQL Server and Power BI and have experience working within technology and operations. They will also be comfortable performing Business Analysis activities such as requirements gathering, building out user stories and creating functional specifications.
Experience required:
- Good knowledge of data and data flows in a buy-side environment
- Strong experience in Data Governance or Stewardship projects within financial services organisations.
- Experience performing BA activities such as end user requirements gathering, building out technical/functional specifications, performing UAT and building out User stories.
- Experience in Data Profiling, Data Dictionary creation or Data Cataloguing.
- Strong SQL Server experience as an end user as well as experience building out Dashboards/Visualisations using Power BI would be beneficial.
