Data Engineering Manager – Oracle, PL/SQL, AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Glue, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, Python Scripting, Financial Services
A Data Engineering Manager experienced in working on a global scale is urgently sought after by a leading Fund Manager to join one of their Central Technology Functions.
The function in question is responsible for providing IT services to multiple internal business units, allowing the organization to operate effectively, with a focus on solutions for data analytics, workflow and automation tools.
In this role, you will work on this functions core data warehousing platform, being responsible for working directly with business stakeholders to provide technology solutions for both their on-prem Oracle DWH and Snowflake based Data Lake.
This will involve working with both architecture and engineering teams (including running design and code review sessions), to identify and implement improvement/enhancements to his large-scale analytics and storage platform.
Skills required:
A strong programming background in Oracle and PL/SQL
A solid understanding of databases/Data Warehousing (primarily with Oracle and Snowflake) and an ability to provide optimal design solutions for this
Expert data modelling and performance optimization skills
Proven senior/management experience in relation to running design and code reviews for Data Warehouse Developers and relaying optimal solutions to the business
Any experience of AWS and Python is seen as highly advantageous
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong data focused individual to help drive continual improvement for a key Data Analytics & Storage Platform for a global Fund Manager.
