A Data Scientist, skilled in Python engineering, statistics and analysis is sought after by a leading global Investment Manager to join their Investment Research and Insights team on a permanent basis.
This team work directly with clients, conducting both traditional data science/analysis relating to investment opportunities as well as wider projects relating to queries/hypotheticals put forward by different clients. One such example relates to physical expansion and involves conducting geo-spatial analysis on both their clients and competitors’ locations and target demographics to provide them with an insight as to whether their proposed expansion is financially concrete.
Although primarily a Data Scientist role, you will be required to conduct Data Engineering, Machine Learning and Statistics yourself, so having come from a development background is beneficial.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following skillset:
- Knowledge and practical experience of Data Science
- Understanding of machine learning techniques and their advantages.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Strong technical skills including Python and statistical techniques.
- Knowledge and interest in Financial Markets
