A leading media organisation is looking for a Head of Software Engineering to provide proactive leadership to the engineering development teams and their technology road map. This is an exciting opportunity in leading for one of the largest media establishments operating across a variety of development projects.
we’re looking for:
An existing leadership background with over 12 years strong relevant exposure with 6 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams of at least 50 developers.
- Track record building and delivering mission-critical 24x7 production software systems.
- Deep technical expertise in the design of large-scale, highly available low latency, distributed systems, and software.
- Cloud based technologies such as AWS and GCP including microservices and serverless architectures, distributed systems and related concepts, SQL and NoSQL datastores, media codecs, video, and audio.Knowledge and real working experience of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience influencing across departments and teams, at various seniority levels, building consensus without authority.
