Hyperion Functional Consultant/Business Analyst required to join a global media organisation on a contract basis, inside IR35. The position will sit across group reporting & budgeting for all of the organisations business units globally, across the Hyperion suite, working on a programme to consolidate the Hyperion landscape to realise process efficiencies. The Hyperion Functional Consultant will be tasked with understanding the business needs and context of the group reporting and budgeting & planning functions, translating these needs into functional requirements for the Hyperion suite and implementing the requirements that can be met via configuration. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a global implementation for budget and forecast using Hyperion – Planning, Essbase and/or FR Studio. This is a 6-month initial contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Functional/Non-functional requirements: translating the business needs into Functional/Non-Functional requirements using the appropriate terminology of Hyperion
- Jira stores: the above specification to be decomposed into Jira stories
- OUM/AIM documentation: the requirements to be documented using the Oracle methodology
- Business Needs: detailing clear business needs (functional and non-functional) through both workshops and daily interactions with the finance function
- Functional collaboration: conceiving and implementing configuration changes into the appropriate environments
- Working closely with the developers and testers
Required skills:
- Ideally possess an accountancy qualification and have experience in global implementation for budget and forecast using Hyperion – planning, Essbase, FR Studio are a requirement and ODI would be an advantage. The specific experience required is across:
- Development of Budget and forecasting applications (EPM, Hyperion planning, Essbase including report writing and SmartView)
- Knowledge of ODI Oracle Data Integrator and DRM
- Accounting skills
- A thorough understanding of how financial forecasting and budgeting are developed within a Hyperion environment
- Proven knowledge in statutory accounts including: acquisition and joint venture accounting
- An understanding of business KPIs
- Strong business analysis skills to translate business needs into Hyperion functional/non-functional requirements, and the ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
