A global insurer is looking for an experienced developer to join their Global Risk Solution technology team.
As part of the Global Risk Solution technology team, you would deliver innovative solutions and capabilities that leverage their technical expertise and business understanding and partnerships to enable market-leading performance world-wide.
You would support and delivery enhancements and new applications to support their underwriting teams globally working closely with other teams. Responsible for the development, testing, implementation and support of a new Rating Tool for the global teams - the Tool will be key to collecting and reporting on key Rating data for the portfolio.
You will be required to:
- Contribute to team 30/60/90-day planning sessions and set expectations for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities
- Participate in team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies
- Produce software technical specifications and other documentation as required for development solutions
- Liaise with DevOps Team to ensure successful deployment of developed products to live environment
- Assist with solution design and in the preparation of system test plans
- Liaise with DevOps Team to ensure successful deployment of developed products to live environment
Experience required:
- Experience of working within the full development lifecycle i.e. development, unit testing and release
- Java, Spring Boot, Maven and SQL
- CI/CD and Cloud deployments onto AWS
- Solid VBA skills
- Knowledge of developing applications using ASP.NET, C#,
- Knowledge of SQL Server TSQL
- Experience of the design and development of application databases on SQL Server
- Knowledge of SQL SSIS
- Development using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and ideally IntelliJ
- Previous experience with Rating tool
