A Technical Lead is needed by a world leading Financial Services Organization to act at as the SME in London for their Enterprise Data Platform. This role will require 75% hands on development, coupled with 25% leadership and management responsibilities. The product is a leading data analytics system that provides pricing and reference data services on a global scale.
The technology stack is Java hosted on AWS and they are looking for candidates with experience of enterprise scale data applications with modern development techniques. They are looking to increase the speed and performance of this system and so knowledge of concurrent programming and multithreading are essential.
Required Experience
- Java 8 developer with at least 4-6 years’ experience with a focus on performance, multi-threading, and concurrency.
- Extensive experience and understanding of distributed systems
- Knowledge of Java Spring Boot essential
- Cloud experience would be a major positive with AWS preferred
- Configuration of CI software for automated testing and deployment of code.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Database, knowledge of PL/SQL or SQL skills is a plus.
- Financial experience a plus with a good understanding of Equity and Derivatives Trading desirable
