My client, a leading financial institution, is looking for a Senior Java Algo Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Working in the front office, you will be joining a small feature team partnered with traders and quants who are charged with building out models for PnLs contributed to the bank.
The responsibility will fall on the successful candidate to increase their algo presence, through the implementation of new features for the models. There is also plans in the future for the team to move into bilateral client connectivity and to increase the scope and reach of the algorithm.
Candidates must have:
- Excellent core Java
- An understanding of trading systems, preferably in an algorithmic trading context
- Demonstrable technical skills beyond core Java, particularly relevant are: Python, knowledge database, messaging middleware (solace) & their application to event driven systems
- Experience of modern patterns for continuous delivery of software
- A sound grounding in the principals of computer engineering, preferably with a technical degree
