Java Developer – Core Java, Oracle, Kafka, Trade Processing, FX, Investment Banking, London, Hybrid, £86,000 base + package.
A Senior Java Engineer is currently being sought after by a Tier 1 Investment bank to work on a greenfield project, joining their Trade Processing team within FX, which would involve assisting in the processing and enrichment of trade data. You would be required to design and implement code with a long-term view for the architectural vision of the platform, alongside improving stability and monitoring any improvements needed when investigating production issues.
This role would allow you to gain exposure to multiple asset classes and financial instruments, alongside gaining exposure to the rest of the business, alongside eventually getting hands-on with cloud technologies.
To be successful in this role, you would need the following:
- Strong hands-on coding experience in Core Java (J2SE) is a essential
- Prior experience working with Oracle is highly beneficial
- Good experience working with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka or Solace) is beneficial
- Prior financial experience, in particular working within Trade processing/booking team.
- Cloud service experience is sought after, in particular GCP, but is not essential.
