A Senior Java Engineer is sought after by a global Asset management business to join a technical product team who are responsible for delivering client focused technology solutions.
The day-to-day will involve designing and delivering technical solutions through the use of microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring high quality code is being produced and tested on a regular basis to provide users a functional and efficient product.
There will be large amounts of collaboration with other members of the business (including Product Managers and QE teams) alongside business users, in order to solve underlying issues and assist in identifying the cause of these problems.
To be successful, you will demonstrate the following:
- Strong hands-on development experience with Java (preferably Java 11+), Spring boot and microservice environments
- A modern approach to development, focused on Agile Scrum and TDD principles
- Solid experience around build tools and CI/CD, such as Maven and Jenkins.
- An appreciation of secure computing
- Any exposure to messaging services, such as Kafka or JMS, is beneficial
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL database, such as Oracle, SQL Server or Mongo is beneficial
