Senior Software Engineer – Python, Agile, Greenfield, Azure, Lloyd’s Market, London - £100,000

A Software Engineer is needed by a leading member of the Lloyd’s London Market. The business is trying to change the way that risk is delivered, working with the latest technologies trying to create technical Solutions, adding to value to the business. This Role is part of the growth and expansion of the team, as the company is constantly looking for ways to develop and improve Insurance market technologies.

In the role, you will be innovating and delivering solutions, meeting the business objectives. The team operates in an agile environment, using DevOps to help with Data Transformation, solving insurance problems and building a pricing engine. With your skills in Python, you will be working on Pricing Solutions, Underwriting workbenches and on the policy admin system. The majority of the role is back-end development, however some knowledge of front-end would be beneficial.

Desired Skills include
  • Extensive commercial Python experience
  • Python libraries e.g., PySpark, Pandas or NumPy
  • Experience having used Web frameworks
  • Good API experience
Nice to have
  • Good SQL experience
  • Have worked in an Agile team before
  • Knowledge of stack operations.
