Software Developer – Financial Services, .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, Oracle, Qlik, YellowFin, Cloud

A small investment management firm, with best-in-class asset management software is looking for a Software Developer to join their IT team on a permanent basis.  You will be required to help drive requirements by focusing on the creation and implementation of bespoke applications which is used for all the projects across the team for increasing the support available to the business.

Within this role, you will gain the opportunity to further develop skillset across a range of tools with a primary focus of C# while working with a range of departmental users of differing skill levels to specify, build and test a range of software as required by the business. You will also be assisting in the buildout and maintenance of their Qlik platform to empower applications as well as designing and building APIs for a future cloud migration.
 
Key Requirements for this role:

• Experience and understanding of what is required to develop applications for projects through all stages and states, preferably in a financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of C# and databases plus development tools.
• Experience of financial applications and knowledge of investment management practices, Business Intelligence platform experience would be beneficial.
• At least 4 + years directly relevant experience managing application development to incorporate front, middle and back office requirements.
• Experience of structured problem solving and highly motivated with a service driven attitude with strong technical aptitude and good inter-personal and communication skills.

Technical Requirements for this role:

• Visual Studio, C#, Team Foundation Server (moving to DevOps)
• Qlik, YellowFin Business Intelligence platforms.
• Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
• XML, XSL and associated formats.
• Message Queues, JSON and associated communications
• FIX 4.2 and TCA related data. Communication protocols for secure transfer and encryption.
• Cloud – Azure (nice to have)
