My client, a leading financial services organisation, are currently looking for an experienced Senior BA to join the organisation.
The role is working as part of the sustainable investment programme which is one of largest technology change initiatives, which aims to drive new revenue opportunities and cost efficiencies through the integration of recently merged businesses. The projects are technically challenging in a very engaging environment making the most of cutting-edge technologies covering the domains of Real-Time, Big Data, Cloud, and Machine Learning.

- Analysing and intersecting complex data sets using SQL query language
- Use technology systems / data analysis skills to reverse engineer application functionalities by reviewing source code (Java, C#)
- Lead work across Business, Operations and Technology with minimal guidance and translate business requirements in actionable user stories
- Act as the SME for Content Delivery across the full end-to-end integrated platform and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Engage proactively with Agile ceremonies and processes, including working with Scrum teams and Product Owners
- Analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to undertake business analysis within an Agile environment (using JIRA) with experience leading Agile ceremonies like backlog creation & grooming, prioritization, backlog refinement and sprint planning
- Comfortable working across Business, Operations and Technology with minimal guidance and able to translate poorly defined business
requirements in actionable user stories - Ability to analyse and intersect complex data sets with proficient knowledge of SQL query language
- Strong MS SQL skills – (window functions, common table expressions,
group by extensions, etc.) - Blend of tech systems / data analysis skills with ability to reverse engineering application functionalities by looking a source code (java, C#) in absence of functional documentation.
- Familiarity with composing/understanding XSD schemas and JSON API
documentation - Experience with building/understanding data flow diagrams, UML/ER diagrams, CRUD matrices, user flows
- Java se8+ or .NET framework familiarity at a high level – understand high level object orientated paradigms, etc.
