Our client is a dynamic and innovative Private Equity-backed Telecommunications company. They are looking for an Incident Manager to join the team to support the implementation of Service Management and combat and support the resolution of incoming and existing incidents.

As an Incident Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and reliability of their overall telecommunications services. This hybrid role requires a candidate with a strong background in IT Service Management, particularly within the ITIL Framework and Incident Management, in particular within the Cyber Security and SOC space. You will be responsible for managing critical incidents, implementing service management practices, enhancing existing frameworks, and driving the successful execution of change requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to incidents, coordinating resolution efforts across various teams.
  • Analyse incident trends to identify root causes and implement preventive change measures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance service management practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document SLAs and key performance indicators KPIs.
  • Evaluate and improve existing frameworks for incident and change management.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and implement best practices.
  • Lead the development and execution of change requests, ensuring minimal impact on services.
  • Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis for proposed changes.
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on incident and change management activities.
● Extensive experience in leading incident management for critical issues within a 24x7 software service environment, demonstrating a proven ability to effectively drive issues to resolution.
● Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing incident management processes.
● Oversee the completion of the post-mortem (RCA) statement for all high-severity, critically impacting incidents and problems.
● Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
● Resilience under pressure and decisiveness in complex situations.
● Prioritise multiple high-priority issues at any given time without sacrificing SLA commitments.

Desirable Skills:
  • Previous exposure to telecommunications industry practices or software delivery processes is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telecom networks, protocols, and systems will be advantageous.
  • Exposure to SOC/Cyber Security incident management
