Data Engineer – Python, SQL, Data Modelling, Analytics, Cloud, Azure, GCP, Insurance

My client, a leading Insurance Syndicate within the Lloyd's Market are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join their London based office on a permanent basis. 

They are looking for this key hire to sit within the underwriting team which predominately consists of Actuaries, Underwriters, Data Engineers and Data Scientists. They are looking for a candidate to come in and assist on the development and design of their new core portfolio underwriting system. You will be building and developing out existing data models coupled with maintaining their current ones. They are currently using Azure, but there is a plan to move to GCP moving forwards

This is a critical part of the business which requires candidates to come from an technical and analytical background, with previous experience in Insurance or Financial Services or being preferable.

To be successful in this role, you will need

- Strong experience using Python
- Previous Data Modelling experience 
- SQL
- Cloud exposure would be beneficial. 
- Insurance or Financial Services would be beneficial but absolutely not required.
