A global investment management firm are looking for a Head of Business Applications to join on a permanent basis. You would be responsible for the overall application landscape, aligning strategic priorities and change requirements and would be the overall owner for one of their core portfolio monitoring platforms (eFront).
This function goes beyond eFront to other applications more generally used by the business, so we are looking for someone with strong investment management acumen.
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the application landscape
- Development and implementation of the strategy and roadmap
- Managing the risk, cost and benefit of the applications
- Take a proactive approach to support business requirements encouraging best use and adoption
- Lead the eFront team (team of 4)
Experience needed:
- Strong knowledge of financial services systems and business functions and drivers in an investment environment
- Extensive experience in leading a Business Application team in an established mid-size financial services organisation
- Proven experience in delivering fit for purpose application solutions aligned with business requirements
- Excellent communication skills, liaising with senior levels of business (corporate functions and investment teams) as well as all levels of IT staff
- Proven experience in building effective relationships across business lines, and able to moderate and resolve conflicts
- Knowledge of portfolio management (e-front a plus), finance and treasury systems; data management and Datawarehouse skills useful
