HR Manager - Transport
Location: Hull
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our client in Hull. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring that the company continues to grow and operate with a strong, motivated workforce. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, with a strong understanding of HR policies, employee relations, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives, focusing on talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns and resolving workplace conflicts. Ensure that the company maintains a positive and supportive work environment.
- Recruitment & Retention: Manage the recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring the business attracts and retains top talent. Work closely with department heads to understand their hiring needs.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process, providing support to managers and employees in setting goals, providing feedback, and identifying development opportunities.
- Policy Development: Ensure all HR policies are up-to-date, legally compliant, and effectively communicated across the organization. Create and implement new policies as needed.
- HR Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records and prepare HR reports for senior management. Analyze data to make informed decisions regarding workforce planning and employee satisfaction.
- Benefits & Compensation: Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation structures to ensure competitiveness and fairness across the organization.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the workplace, ensuring a culture of respect and fairness.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with HR systems and software for managing employee data and payroll.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
