Our client, a City based financial services firm, are looking for an experienced Engineer to join their IT Operations team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a significant VMware ESX upgrade piece with the successful candidate involved in the design and delivery of the new solution. This person will also be responsible for maintenance and upgrade work around the clients HPE Synergy platform so experience in this would also be highly beneficial.
The role forms part of a large multifunctional infrastructure team so the ideal candidate will have experience within structured environments and an awareness of change controls, process controls and project governance.
**This is an initial 6-month contract up to £540 per day via an Umbrella Company**
Experience required:
- Significant experience with VMware ESX and ESXi upgrade and maintenance projects.
- Over 5 years’ experience within Infrastructure engineering or architecture positions
- Experience working within financial services or large structured organisations would be highly beneficial.
- Knowledge/hands on experience with HPE Synergy or other similar infrastructure components would be ideal.
