Integration Project Manager – Merger & Acquisition, M&A, Due diligence, Global

Project Manager required to work for a global media organisation on a contract basis, focusing on the integration of newly acquired companies. As the acquisitions are global, they are looking for someone that could be flexible in accommodating overseas meetings, though all work will be carried out remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong experience delivering projects within a complex international organisation, coupled with M&A integration experience and a solid understanding of due diligence processes. This contract will run for 3 months in the first instance.

Pre-acquisition responsibilities:
  • Engage with the M&A deal team to understand the due diligence steps to smooth handover to post-acquisition integration
  • Ensure the due diligence conclusions are appropriately considered in integration planning
  • Assist the acquired entity management team with preparation for integration
  • Develop the detailed integration plan in line with the strategic aims of the integration
 
Post-acquisition responsibilities:
  • Own the execution of the integration plan, day-to-day management of integration activities, ensuring the key milestones are achieved on time
  • Escalate integration issues for resolution when identified
  • Be the key point of contact for all integration queries and stakeholder concerns
  • Manage workstream leads ensuring that they are delivering against the key project milestones
  • Produce regular status reporting and performance metrics
  • Identify risks regarding integration and propose mitigation actions
  • Chair the schedule of weekly status and monthly governance meetings
 
Required skills:
  • 8+ years’ experience delivering projects within large, international organisations
  • Previous experience on M&A integrations
  • Solid understanding of due diligence processes
  • Proven ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders and effectively achieve results
  • Experience working in a fast moving and high-pressured environment
  • Proactive approach, ability to prioritise and self-drive to achieve results
