A global investment management firm going through a large transformation as they overhaul their technology estate. They are looking for a pragmatic Cloud Architect to join their IT team on an initial 6-month contract (Inside IR35) based in London.
The role is to help document and manage technical and IT Security architecture standards, deploy new capabilities into production and support several platform remediation activities planned to address current technical and security risks. Joining a small team that's rapidly growing as they move away from relying on MSPs requiring more adapt structure and segregation of duties between design and support. You would be working within the brand new IT Architecture department as it embarks on their transformation giving you scope to make an significant impact.
Responsibilities:
Develop the cloud architecture within Microsoft Azure across multiple technologies and services leading technical design.
Be able to apply security best practices to all key elements of the azure cloud stack working in partnership with the rest of the architecture, production, information, and cyber security teams.
Constantly strive to improve their security posture and the quality of their production operations.
Handles specific architecture work as part of BAU that may be related to problem management or any other remediations requires to address risk.
To be successful in this role you will need:
An expert on azure, ideally Azure and cloud certified
A proven record of producing and maintaining IT technology roadmaps
Experience defining cloud architecture for a medium size organisation
Experience working in a rapidly growing organisation with little initial support
A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
Ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders up to c-suite
Collaboration qualities that support the development of teams members and processes.
Experience working in an financial services firm (beneficial)
