IT Principal Auditor – Investment Banking, AI, Internal Controls, Risk – Perm, Hybrid, up to £65,000

Our client, a leading global investment bank, are looking for an experienced IT Auditor to join their Group Audit (GA) function.

The role will situate specifically within the Investment Banking Application and Innovation Technology team responsible for the Bank’s Technology and Information Security risks, with a strong emphasis on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Process Automation, and cloud computing.

Key responsibilities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal IT controls in Investment Banking areas, such as Fixed Income & Currencies, Electronic Trading, Origination and Advisory, as well as Innovation and AI.
  • Complete planned audits and ad hoc projects, alongside conducting technology assessments and continuous monitoring.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute audit assignments, attend stakeholder meetings, and draft audit findings.
  • Stay informed about industry changes impacting the audit plan, GA methodology, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, business units, and support areas, contributing to departmental projects and initiatives.
 
Skills and experience
  • Experience auditing or practical working experience in software development, application lifecycle, vendor management, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Able to articulate control deficiencies and related risks clearly.
  • Commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards, with the ability to stand firm when challenged.
  • Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, or related discipline; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CCAK, CCSP, ITIL, COBIT) preferred.
