Lead Architect – Payments, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture,  Financial Services, London / Remote

My client, a leading Payments organisation, is looking for a Lead Architect to join the team.

The firm specialise in the design, management and implementation of a wide variety of prepaid cards programmes that includes gifting, travel, corporate disbursement, everyday spending, promotions and loyalty.

The role will be responsible for defining and delivering an applications architecture that supports the global scaling of the payments processing platform, hosted on AWS, and meeting standards and requirements for security, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for identifying and ensuring the use of established best practices and patterns, defining standards and guidelines for delivery teams. Assessing and recommending emerging practices and technology.

Candidates must have experience with:
  • Setting and implementing architectural strategy and roadmaps
  • Microservice-based architectures and best practice
  • Enterprise and solutions architecture
  • AWS infrastructure and services
  • Supporting engineering teams
  • Design practices and modelling, e.g. UML, TOGAF
  • DevOps culture and practices
  • OO analysis & design
  • Agile practices
  • Banking and payments systems
