Lead Solutions Architect – Payments, Microservices, AWS, Strategy, Roadmaps, Blueprints - Financial Services - Swindon / Remote


Please note this role will require travel to Swindon, with paid expenses.


My client, a leading Payments organisation, is looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to join their team on a permanent basis.

The firm specialise in the design, management and implementation of a wide variety of prepaid cards programmes. The role will be responsible for defining and delivering architectural designs that support the global scaling of the payments processing platform, hosted on AWS, whilst meeting standards and requirements for security, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for identifying and ensuring the use of established best practices and patterns, defining standards and guidelines for delivery teams. Assessing and recommending emerging practices and technology.

Candidates must have experience with:

  • Setting and implementing architectural strategy and roadmaps
  • Microservice-based architectures and best practices
  • Enterprise and solutions architecture
  • AWS infrastructure and services
  • Supporting engineering teams
  • DevOps culture and practices
  • Agile practices
  • Banking and payments systems
