Platform Engineer – Microsoft, Windows, Linux, Azure, Cloud, AWS, IT Business Services, SQL, Microsoft Azure - UK Wide - Permanent - paying up to £55,000 base + Cash Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
My client, a leading global consultancy, are seeking a Platform Engineer centred around growing and shaping a modern Data Analytics platform using an Azure Cloud platform. The aim is to help their client facing teams to utilise Azure DevOps for application lifecycle management and monitoring the platform to continuously help the business get the most out of it.
This role requires hand on management of analytical platform operations, as well as assisting with the maintenance of the platforms and administration of users in which a large part of the role will be support the existing Windows server estate. You will be conducting high level support and troubleshooting of issues, which will require a deep technical Support background in infrastructure and networking.
The ideal candidate would have:
· Experience of provisioning, supporting and troubleshooting on-prem and cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS)
· Experience with DevOps / Application lifecycle management tools
· Proven in-depth Windows and Linux experience (preferably administartion)
· MS SQL Server experience
· Business stakeholder experience and ability to understand business problems and provide solutions
· Experience with monitoring solutions and experience of best practice and optimization
· Good communication skills, both oral and written & strong stakeholder management experience
