A Senior Developer with deep expertise in Power BI is urgently sought after by a global Financial Services organisation who are a market leader in the financial indexing space.
They are looking to build a greenfield Power BI platform which will both help them automate their current indexing service as well as add in new functionality such as the inclusion of ESG ratings into their indexes, as well as providing full customisation of their fact sheets for clients.
The platform being built will be hosted in Azure Cloud, ingest and distribute its data via APIs (as opposed to traditional methods such as Excel), and will need to be scalable to handle both the sheer volume of data (1000’s of indexes) as well as the volume of requests, including the ability to run multiple customisable instances of each report. Your role will be help design and build the foundation of this platform, provide guidance as to how this is best done including how to connect this new platform to multiple other existing applications, working in tandem with the existing team.
Skills needed
- Strong Power BI development skills with experience in building dashboards, reports, dataflows as well as performance tuning
- Demonstrable experience in having worked on high-volume, scalable platforms, that can manage high levels of throughput
- Experience working with Azure including the ability to customise and configure components within a cloud hosted environment
- Hands-on experience of Logic Apps for Orchestration and Blob Storage
- Basic .net skills are nice to have
This is a really exciting opportunity for a talented Power BI Developer to design and build a next generation cloud-hosted data reporting platform.
This will be an initial 6-month contract with excellent opportunity to extend and will require you to work via an umbrella company.
