A Senior UI Engineer skilled in full stack development using React and Node is sought after by a global Investment Manager to join the engineering function that look after their core Portfolio Management platform. Specifically, you will join a team that owns UI across this area, being responsible for both hands-on development and the setting and driving of development standards and best practises.
In terms of working environment, the team are in the office twice a week, work in an Agile TDD fashion and with the wider platform up and running in AWS, take a cloud-native approach to engineering.
In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to two major projects in line with this, primarily focussed on the development of a standardised UI framework and set of common components that will allow for the efficient delivery of high quality, user-centric services for the business.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Strong hands-on capability with JavaScript/TypeScript, React and NodeJS.
- In-depth knowledge of modern UI development best practises and an understanding of UX design
- Any experience of either visualisation tools (D3, ag-grid etc.), or design tools such as Figma is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ideally a background in finance so as to comfortably engage with users.
