Our client, a leading Hedge Fund based in the West End, are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to join their infrastructure team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of business-critical initiatives such as database tuning, HPC job scheduling and container orchestration as part of a high functioning business facing team.
The ideal candidate will be a strong Storage Engineer ideally experienced working in financial services or other highly regulated environments. Any experience with GPFS or other Cluster File Systems would be beneficial as would any prior exposure to HPC. Experience with Container Orchestration and Linux would also be highly beneficial.
Experience required:
- Over 5 years of experience in a hands-on Storage Engineering position.
- Prior experience working with Linux environments.
- Experience within financial services – Investment Banking, Investment Management or Trading would be beneficial.
- Experience with clustered file systems such as GPFS, GFS2 or VxCFS would be highly beneficial.
- Experience with job scheduling utilising tools such as AWS batch, nomad or Slurm would be preferred.
