Senior System Engineer/Architect – Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO), Python, Yang, Automated Deployment, XML, Cisco ACI, DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud
A Senior System Engineer with experience in Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) and Python-based software engineering is urgently sought after by a global Financial Services business to join on a contract basis. This role will sit as part of an engineering team who are currently in the process of undertaking a global network transformation programme, focussed on automating services relating to provisioning, config changes etc on their network connectivity platform (which is linked to a mixture of on-premises and cloud-bases services).
As part of the team, you will be responsible for working directly with stakeholders to understand specific business requirements and implement appropriate solutions for Cisco NSO. This will include a mixture of Python coding, service package development, YANG Modelling and Cisco network configuration with a key focus on automated delivery via CI/CD pipelines and clean, highly tested work.
To be successful, you will demonstrate the following:
· An understanding of software development (ideally with exposure to microservices), with strong experience in Python coding
· An understanding of Networking with hands-on experience of the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) platform
· Experience of YANG modelling and XML
· Service package development
· Experience of Cisco ACI would be nice
· Experience in software testing (ideally using PyTest) and DevOps CI/CD methods
· Experience working in large scale/global environments
