Software engineer – Asset Management – .Net core/Apache Kafka/Real-time platform
Our client, a reputable Fund Manager based in the city are looking for a C#/.Net Software Engineer to join their lean team on a contractual initial 12-month basis. You would be working on the rebuild and re-engineering of their proprietary Front Office Order Management System middleware. As part of the team, you will be responsible for both design and development.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced software engineer with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and priorities.
Having a demonstrable passion for technology and experienced working within Financial Services, (ideally within a Front Office setting) is critical.
Willingness to help the team and liaising with senior stakeholders and other senior member of the team as well as an ability to resolve complex problems positively and professionally and show initiative to seek and achieve improvements to processes and technology is essential.
Skills required:
Excellent knowledge of C# and .Net core
Experience with Azure Event hubs
Financial Services experience (ideally within a Front office environment)
SQL experience is desired
Experience with Apache Kafka is required
Python development experience is beneficial
Experience working on real-time platforms
Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
