An Elasticsearch SME is urgently sought after by a global Financial Services business to work on one of their strategic data platforms. Specifically, this is a highly available data distribution platform that customers access for content relating to Pricing, Reference Data, Legal Data and more.
In this role, you will be responsible for large-scale enterprise Elasticsearch development, building a business-critical tool that alerts key internal account managers to errors/issues with the platform (primarily around its data delivery functionality), allowing them to rectify these with customers ASAP and ensure ongoing optimum service.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- SME level knowledge of Elasticsearch, currently using it in a hands-on capacity and having previously designed and built enterprise scale solutions
- Strong scripting capabilities with any of Bash, Groovy, Python etc.
- A proponent for modern development best practices, Agile, TDD, CI/CD etc.
- An understanding of data indexing and ability to create Elasticsearch Index Templates
- Strong communications, and an ability to work with globally distributed team members and stakeholders

Please note due to organisational policy, you will be required to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.
