A Data Engineer is needed by a truly innovative organisation that is part of the Lloyd's Market who are successfully disrupting insurance with the use of algorithmic trading. The business is building a brand new technology to revolutionise how Insurance risks are written in the Lloyd's Market, which is something which hasn't changed in 300 years. 

As a business, they are looking for a Data Engineer to own their help drive innovation and Data Engineering capabilities, working directly for the Head of Engineer, supporting them on their broker platform which is the core technology to their success. Furthermore, you will be designing and developing complex data processing modules ranging from ETL to ML, whilst working closely with the Algorithmic team. 

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

- Strong Data Engineering experience proven across multiple projects, preferably in a regulated environment. 
- Experience of designing data models and developing industrial grade data pipelines.
- Knowledge across database and data lake systems.
- Being comfortable writing code in Python and SQL.
- Exposure to working in a cloud environment, preferably GCP.
