A Financial Services Data provider are hiring a Director of Engineering for their world leading high performance trading platform. This system utilising enormous amounts of financial data to provide a best in class solution to their clients across Buy and Sell Side organisations.
The system is web based and all hosted on AWS. This position will focus on managing the Engineering teams, with a hands on leadership approach, as well as setting the technical and assisting with the strategical direction of the platform. This comes as part of a major innovation drive and will work closely with the Head of Architecture.
Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience with web-based technologies e.g. JavaScript/Typescript
- Extensive experience managing large scale global systems and teams
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering scalable web services and
- complex high-performance web applications and platforms
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Comfortable working in a multi-location multi time zone environment, with remote stake holders and dependent teams
