A small Lloyd’s Market Re-insurer is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Change Team on a Permanent basis.
 
This syndicate works with an aim to make a community-level impact within their speciality insurance cover by ensuring their product is affordable and widely available to the public.
 
Our client has recently undergone a change from a single vendor model to a multi-vendor model as well as brought some departments in-house. Due to this, they are looking to expand their BA team and bring in someone who is willing to ownership of the requirements gathering, management, and governance, bringing discipline and rigour to their documentation work.
 
This role will serve as a support for the wider team on numerous different projects ranging from system implementation to regulatory and data projects.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Gathering of functional and non-functional requirements via effective requirements workshops with a diverse group of stakeholders, across a range of parallel running projects,
  • Documentation of functional and non-functional requirements in a methodical, structured and detailed manner, with adherence to the change governance framework and signoff stage gates,
  • Documentation of as-is and to-be states and clear identification of gaps via gaps analysis, Process mapping, blueprinting and re-engineering,
  • Establishing requirements management best practices within the Change Team.
Desirables:
  • Solid experience within Insurance, having worked with either the IT function, operations or a third party vendor.
  • A good understanding of various Insurance systems, data management processes and/or data flows between systems.
  • Ability to work confidently on multiple competing priorities simultaneously and confidence to engage with multiple stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
  • Understanding of bordereaux management and systems or Finance systems and operations is preferred but not required.
