Provide leadership to the Application Support team, ensuring consistent, reliable, and high-performing application operations throughout the organization.

This position plays a critical role in overseeing support functions, optimizing processes and tools, and championing service excellence across a range of systems including SaaS platforms, internally developed software, and third-party applications. The role involves close collaboration with TechOps, the IT Service Desk, Engineering, and Business teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. You will also play a pivotal part in the ongoing modernization of our technology environment.


Must have:


Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading Application Support teams within a financial services organisation.

Demonstrated success in an Application Support Manager or Lead role, with a strong track record of ensuring operational excellence.

Skilled in managing high-priority incidents

Strong leadership capabilities, with proven experience in team development, performance management, mentoring, and fostering a high-performing culture.

In-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies including C#, SQL etc.

Proficient in resource planning, team structuring, and balancing workload priorities to meet business needs.

Practical experience with modern cloud-native tools and platforms such as Azure, Docker, and AKS.

Familiarity with web technologies and architectures, including React, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services.

Hands-on experience using observability and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Azure Application Insights, or similar platforms, with the ability to extract actionable insights and drive ongoing improvements.

Holds ITIL v4 certification or equivalent IT service management qualifications.
