A boutique Global Advisory / Professional Services firm is seeking a Senior Consultant, with extensive experience in the Private Markets space, to join their London based team on a permanent basis.
You will be consulting in the Private Equity space across a suite of clients to design and execute innovative solutions. Working on projects including software implementation, strategic information management plans, operational audits / reviews, data migrations, process improvements and technology enablement solutions throughout the Alternative Investment space.
Essentially, you will be working as the middleman between the business, the clients and the third-party vendors to ensure technologies are best for clients operations and strategies for the business are met.
Responsibilities:
- Support projects and implementations from initiation to client Go-Live and beyond
- Develop and articulate innovative yet achievable solutions for clients
- Learn and apply implementation methodologies
- Understand the nuances of Alternative Investment operations or subjects related to the completion of projects
- Analyse the clients existing operating model and business processes, challenge the status quo and develop target state model options based on industry ‘better practice’ and the client’s strategic goals and constraints
- Provide detailed knowledge of front to back office Alternative Investment operations and reporting
- Prepare for and conduct business requirement interviews
- Document business requirements, processes and data/reporting requirements
- Understand the client’s existing business processes and assist the client in defining improved business solutions based on the client’s strategic goals and constraints
- Work with clients to analyse their current and future business needs, recommend best practice solutions, and define and document project deliverables for these solutions
- Document test cases in conjunction with business requirements and ensure that clear validation criteria are established across the project life cycle
- Minimise overall exposure and risk on projects
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Consulting, Business Analysis, Project Management, System Implementations (SDLC), Audit, Accounting or Operations Business
- Strong alternative investment operational and technology experience gained by working within investment operations at a GP or LP, at a fund administrator or within an investment management practice of a leading consulting firm
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Mastery of business analysis methodologies along with a demonstrable record of requirements elicitation and documentation;
- Exceptional communication, organisation, interpersonal & client-service skills, including the confidence to interact with client management
- Proven skills in documentation, process analysis mapping (e.g. Visio), and other Microsoft Office tools with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Enjoy working autonomously and independently with an emphasis on self-learning and training
- Team leader with ability to motivate and enable team members to be successful
- Working knowledge of leading solutions within the Alternative Investments space such as SunGard Investran, iLEVEL, DealCloud, AllVue, Dynamo, eFront, Yardi and other investment management systems a plus.
