Our client, a leading investment management firm based in the City are seeking an experienced Java Engineer to join one of their technical product teams on an initial 6 month contract paying up to £860per day via Umbrella. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of greenfield development projects within a mature agile environment gaining exposure to front office business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in hands-on Java development (Java 11+), Spring Boot, and Microservices deployment experience with Restful APIs. Experience with build tools and CI/CD would be highly beneficial.
Experience required:
- Over 5 years hands on Java development experience and ideally experience utilising Java 11+.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as Maven, GITLab or Jenkins.
- REST web services experience and experience deploying RESTful APIs utilising Java.
- Experience within a highly regulated environment and ideally having worked within investment banking or asset management.
