SQL Server DBA – MSSQL Server 2019, T-SQL, SSAS, SSRS, PowerShell, Performance Tuning, Hedge Fund, Financial Services
A SQL Server DBA is sought after by a leading Hedge Fund based in Central London to join their IT Infrastructure team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have expert level skills with the MSSQL Server Suite (including SSAS and SSRS) as they will be taking over primary responsibility for the organisations MSSQL stack.
The day to day will consist of working directly with business users (portfolio managers, analysts etc.) to resolve any issues that may arise, whilst also undertaking project work. This currently includes a full MS SQL upgrade and the replacement of all hardware, with evolving requirements over time.
To be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
Expert level knowledge and experience of MS SQL Server, currently working on Version 2016+
Strong skills using SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
Confident with Database and SQL performance tuning
An appreciation of both Windows and Unix/Linux platforms, with good T-SQL and PowerShell scripting skills
Whilst preferred, a background in the Financial Services industry is not critical.
