Solutions Architect – London Markets, Insurance
Location: Hybrid, London
Duration: 6-month initial contract
Rate: £700–£850 per day (Outside IR35)
We’re urgently seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support a system implementation for a leading London Market insurance business. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the solution architecture, ensuring systems and integrations are designed and delivered in line with best practice, technical standards, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and document the end-to-end solution architecture for a core system implementation project

Work closely with business analysts, development teams, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment of technical and functional requirements

Lead on integration design, ensuring seamless data flows between internal and external systems

Provide architectural governance throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, and maintainable

Advise on the adoption of cloud technologies (Azure or AWS), API-led integrations, and modern architecture frameworks

Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business functions to ensure effective communication and delivery
Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Solutions Architect within London Market or general insurance organisations

Strong track record delivering system implementation and integration projects

Solid understanding of data architecture, API design, and cloud-based solutions

Ability to translate business requirements into clear, practical architecture and design documentation

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams
