Web developer/JavaScript Developer – Front End, HTML, CSS, Adtech, Advertising, Google AMP, Remote
Web Developer/JavaScript Developer required to join the in-house development team of gaming organisation who own a portfolio of websites. Working specifically on code related to commercial functionality, the Web Developer/JavaScript Developer will optimise and upgrade existing ad technologies as well as creating new ones. Their ad tech covers typical display advertising via Google Ad Manager as well as video, AMP and header bidding with other ad platforms such as Prebid and Amazon’s TAM. They are looking for a Developer with strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS who is comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and to short and often fast-changing deadlines, with Google AMP and ideally advertising experience. This is a 6-month initial contract, inside IR35. The client is Brighton based but this position can be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Optimise and enhance existing ad tech running across the portfolio
Create new tools and features to support commercial goals
Technical support for the inhouse creative team who build custom creatives and sites to support ad campaigns
Required skills:
Develop with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript to a high standard
Experience with Google AMP
Mobile-first principles and core web vitals
Experience working with different back-end platforms such as PHP or Django
Demonstrable ability to work fast, often to tight deadlines.
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of any commercial ad technology solutions
Google's GPT framework
Google's GAM API
Prebid JS
Version control using Github
